Referral Code Terms and Conditions

You may invite your friends to use Sendwave by sharing your personal referral code. When a referred friend completes their first valid transaction with Sendwave, you will receive a referral reward in the amount displayed in the Sendwave app. The referral reward is applied as a promotional credit that can be used, in whole or in part, toward future transfers through the Sendwave app or, where applicable, toward eligible Universal Wallet transactions such as Fiat Withdrawals and P2P transfers.

To access and share your referral code, log into the Sendwave app, navigate to the “Me” menu, and select “Refer a Friend.” You may copy and share your code through the messaging applications available on your device. Your friend must enter the referral code in the Sendwave app before completing their first transaction. Once your friend’s first transaction has been successfully completed, the applicable referral credits will be applied to your account.

Only new users who have never previously executed a transaction through the Sendwave app are eligible to use a referral code. Sendwave may, at its discretion, apply eligibility or usage restrictions based on the country from which funds are sent, the country to which funds are sent, or a combination of both. Such restrictions may include blocking specific sending or receiving corridors from using referral or promotional credits, setting a minimum send amount required to qualify for the credit, requiring that the send amount be equal to or greater than the value of the credit, capping the amount of credit that may be applied to a single transaction at the transfer amount, and carrying over any remaining unused credit for future use, as determined by Sendwave from time to time. In the case of Universal Wallet users, Sendwave may also require that the referred user complete their first wallet funding using a specified payment processor such as dLocal, and may apply minimum funding thresholds or matching rules (for example, “Fund $25, Get $5 credit”), with the referrer reward remaining a static amount set for the applicable promo code.

Sendwave reserves the right to verify the eligibility of referred users and may require Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation before processing transactions or applying any referral reward. Referral credits may be withheld, cancelled, or reclaimed if Sendwave determines or reasonably suspects that the Referral Program has been used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of applicable laws, regulations, or Sendwave’s General Terms and Conditions. This includes attempts to redeem credit through artificial or invalid funding activity or through P2P transfers arranged for the purpose of cashing out promotional credit.

Referral credits are valid for twelve (12) months from the date they are credited unless otherwise specified. Sendwave may amend, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program or these Terms and Conditions at any time by publishing the updated terms on its website, which shall constitute notice to users. No new referral rewards will be issued after termination. Fees and charges may apply to all transfers made through the Sendwave app. Users are responsible for any personal tax consequences arising from participation in the Referral Program. Sendwave’s General Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy apply to all transactions conducted using referral credits.

Promotional credits issued under a referral or promotional program are maintained as a separate promotional balance and do not convert into USDC. Promotional credit may be applied only up to the amount of the applicable Fiat Withdrawal or P2P transfer and, when sent via P2P, is received by the recipient as promotional credit. Users may adjust the amount of promotional credit they apply to an eligible transaction from zero up to the maximum permitted. Promotional credit does not automatically convert into withdrawable USDC and cannot be exported from the Universal Wallet except when applied to an eligible Fiat Withdrawal.
