Gary V and Sendwave launch "Between Here and Home" to celebrate Overseas Filipino families
For millions of Overseas Filipinos, life happens in two places at once.
There is the country where they work, build careers, and pursue opportunities. Then there is home—a place filled with family, milestones, responsibilities, and dreams that continue even from thousands of miles away.
Every transfer home tells a story. It might help pay for a child's education, support aging parents, cover medical expenses, or simply remind loved ones that they are never forgotten.
That idea sits at the heart of Between Here and Home, Sendwave's newest campaign featuring Filipino music icon Gary Valenciano and a new recording of his beloved song, "Babalik Ka Rin."
Why "Between Here and Home" matters
For many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Filipinos living abroad, distance changes where life is lived—but not who they live it for.
Parents continue raising children from overseas.
Children continue caring for their parents.
Couples continue building a future together despite living in different countries.
Everyday moments, celebrations, and unexpected challenges continue back home, even while loved ones work abroad.
"Between Here and Home" celebrates these everyday acts of love that often go unseen.
Gary V returns with "Babalik Ka Rin"
For generations of Filipinos, Gary Valenciano's music has been part of life's biggest moments.
His songs have celebrated weddings, comforted families through difficult times, and reminded Filipinos around the world of home.
Now, Gary V joins Sendwave to bring new life to "Babalik Ka Rin," a song that has long resonated with many Overseas Filipinos because of its message of hope, sacrifice, and reunion.
The song becomes the emotional thread running through the campaign, reminding viewers that no matter how far life takes you, home is never truly far away.
Stories inspired by real Filipino experiences
Rather than telling one story, "Between Here and Home" will unfold through a series of films inspired by the everyday experiences of Overseas Filipinos.
The first story follows a Filipina nurse working abroad while her mother helps raise her young son in the Philippines. Together, three generations work toward a shared dream: giving the next generation a brighter future through education.
Future stories will explore other experiences familiar to many Filipino families, including:
Couples building a future together while living in different countries
Parents supporting children from overseas
Adult children caring for aging parents
Families celebrating life's milestones despite the distance
Each story reflects a simple truth: every remittance represents far more than money. It represents love, trust, sacrifice, and hope.
More than sending money home
At Sendwave, we understand that every transfer carries meaning.
Behind every transaction is someone working hard to support the people they love.
Whether it's helping pay tuition, preparing for a new baby, supporting a family business, or making sure parents have what they need, every transfer helps families continue moving forward together.
That's why our goal has always been to make sending money home simple, secure, and convenient.
Because staying connected isn't only about communication.
Sometimes it's about making sure the people you love have what they need, exactly when they need it.
