Opening and maintaining a Sendwave Wallet is free. Some withdrawal and pay-in methods may have small fees, which will be shown before you confirm a transaction.
What currency is my wallet balance in?
In the US, you can only store USD in your wallet. In the UK, you can only store GBP in your wallet.
At present, it is not possible for users in the US or the UK to store or receive USDC.

How do I withdraw money from my Sendwave Wallet?
Withdrawal is NOT available in the US or UK but if you need access to your funds you can contact customer services via the app.
If your recipients hold USDC in a Sendwave Wallet, they can withdraw from their wallet into local currency. Guidance for your loved ones can be found here.
Are cashback and better rates always available?
No. Cashback is a promotional offer available in select markets and subject to terms. Cashback is paid in USD to your Sendwave Wallet, not in USDC.
Better rates apply to eligible international remittance transfers in select markets. FX rates are subject to change. Sendwave makes money from the exchange rate.

What are the benefits of sending to another wallet?
If your recipient is in one of the countries listed below, you're sending money directly to your recipient's Sendwave Wallet. They will receive it as USDC, a digital dollar that can be cashed out in local currency.

What is a USDC?
We partner with Circle to issue USDC through Solana - their regulated affiliate network.
USDC is equivalent 1:1 to US dollars. It is a stablecoin, a type of cryptocurrency that is 100% backed by highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets.

How do I earn points with Sendwave Rewards?
You earn 10 (ten) points for every £1 you send. Points are added to your balance automatically after your transfer is completed (usually within 24 hours) - there's nothing extra you need to do. More information can be found here.
