Sendwave takes the security of your personal data extremely seriously. We encode all data as soon as it is entered in the app and send it over an encrypted 256-bit connection.
We are licensed in every country we operate in as a money transmitter business. Plus, because we send the money and deliver within minutes, your funds aren't stored in our bank accounts, but moved quickly to your recipient.
Click in the 'To' field, begin typing and scroll down to 'New Recipient.' Then enter your recipient's full legal name and their phone number and click 'Save.'
You should get an email from us with a link to click to be sure we have the right contact info. If not, please check in the 'Personal Info' section of the app to make sure your email address is correct and update it if not to get our email. If you still don't see it, please check in Spam or search for 'Sendwave' in your email.
When prompted for your password, just take a guess, and if it's incorrect you'll see a button to reset your password via mobile or email.
We will send you an email and update the transaction state to 'Funds Delivered' on the Transactions screen as soon as the funds arrive to your recipient's mobile. If a transaction requires review for regulatory reasons, we will contact you immediately.

Using the Sendwave app, you can quickly send funds from Visa or MasterCard debit cards, as well as PostePay cards in Italy and Correos cards in Spain. We send to mobile wallets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Senegal, Bangladesh, and Liberia. We send to bank accounts in Kenya, Uganda, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. We send to Wave cash pick-up locations in Senegal. Recipients will receive a SMS with a code that they can give to Wave agents with an ID. We send to Access, Zenith, and Fidelity Bank in Nigeria for cash pickup. Recipients will receive a SMS with a voucher code as well as a password to collect funds.
Every sender has maximum limits on how much they can send per day and per month. These are called sending limits. You can view your daily and monthly sending limits, as well as your usage, by going to the Menu and tapping on My Limits.
If you are a sender in the US, UK or EU, you do not need to take any action to raise your sending limits. Your sending limits will be automatically raised as soon as you are eligible. If you are a sender in Canada, once you are eligible to request higher sending limits, you can make a request through your My Limits page. Our team will review your request and get back to you as soon as possible.
Go to ‘Payment info' and tap '+’ in the top right corner to add a new card. Tap the three-dot menu and 'set as default payment method' - now you're set!
No. We only accept debit cards because they charge us lower fees, which allows us to pass those savings onto you! (We do accept Italian Postepay and Spanish Correos prepaid debit cards)
This often just means you don't have good enough internet service to save your card, or the app needs to be upgraded to the latest version from the App Store/Play Store.
This depends on your bank's relationship with our debit card processor - some refunds can be processed immediately but others can take up to 10 business days.
If you turn on SMS login from the Settings/Me page, you will be texted an SMS verification code to your mobile anytime you log into Sendwave. This two-factor authentication provides an extra layer of security for your Sendwave account.

Please check your recipient details before sending. There is no automatic way to recall funds if it goes to the wrong account. Sendwave will have to contact our partner Rendimento who has to work with the local 3rd party bank to contact the wrong beneficiary and request the funds. That account holder has to authorise paying back the funds.
With Sendwave, you can send to recipients via PIX. To transfer, just enter the recipient’s full name, CPF, and PIX key
You can send money to the Philippines from the US, UK, Canada, and parts of Europe.
Recipients will receive a text message for GCash and cash pickup. They can check their account directly for bank transactions.
Customers can initially send a maximum of $999/£999 per day and $2,999/£2,500 per month. You can request to raise limits to $2,999/£2,500/€2,500 per day and $12,000/£10,000/€10,000 per month by sending us a government ID photo. You can do this through the app by pressing 'Raise Limits' on the settings page.
Bank Account - The maximum amount that can be sent is PHP 50,000. We cannot process transactions smaller than PHP 200.
